Facebook closed three billion fake accounts


Facebook has published its latest 'Implementation Report', which includes details of action against various accounts and posts during October 2018 to March 2019.

According to the report, during the last six months, Facebook has closed three billion fake accounts for the first time.

Apart from this, more than 70 million hate posts have been removed, which is a huge record.

For the first time, the details have been issued on Facebook for deleted applications on deleted posts, and it has also been told that many of these posts were re-restored after reviewing them.

The increase in the number of fake accounts removed by Facebook has happened because some 'bad elements' were creating them using the automated methods.

According to Facebook, these counterfeit accounts previously caused a loss, most of them have been identified in a few minutes.

Facebook will also issue details of all posts that have been removed due to the sale of drugs and weapons.

According to the latest report, a total of 100 million people who sold arms during six months have been taken against.

The report also has details about sexual abuse, violence, and terrorism related to propaganda with children.

According to the report, in every 10 thousand parts of the content seen on Facebook:

Less than 14 people saw the material containing ancestors.
About 25 people viewed violence or graphic material.
Less than three people viewed children related to child abuse or terrorist propaganda.
Overall, accounts of about five percent of the monthly active users of the Facebook were fake.

Revision Requests
The report shows that during January 2019 to March 2019 millions received requests for removing hateful posts from Facebook. Out of which, 150,000 posts were restored after revision.

According to Facebook, these aspects have been identified in the report through which more accountability and responsibility can be created for people using our platform.
